Combining SEO and PPC to Drive Results: Capkings’ Success Story

When Capkings Australia started, it only went online for a couple of months before it had to close down because it was not picking up. The owner then decided to give it another shot a few months later, but this time, with a whole new website and a different strategy.

We built the new website in the last quarter of 2019 and launched before the year ended. While our main marketing strategy was pay-per-click (PPC), we were also doing all the painstaking search engine optimisation (SEO) work and started building
Capkings’ social media profiles.

Things slowly started looking good until Capkings, along with all of Australian businesses, were forced to lay low because of the pandemic. We had to slash the PPC budget by about 70% but continued with our SEO and organic social media efforts.

Towards the end of the second quarter of 2020, we were already seeing an increase in the number of organic leads which was a result of our continued SEO optimisation. The improvement in sales allowed us to gradually increase our PPC budget which brought in even more leads for the company. And by the third quarter of the year, we have begun our social media campaigns.

By the start of 2021, Capkings has been dominating the search engine results pages (SERP), ranking first and second in over 50 industry-relevant keywords. We also
managed to grab the first page in the SERP for over 150 keywords and rank in various positions on over 400 more keywords.

Today, Capkings maintains more than 10,000 in overall monthly traffic, with at least half of this coming from unpaid organic searches. The traffic trend remains to be upward and the Company’s revenue growth has remained outstanding. From earning practically nothing in the beginning of 2020, we now see an average monthly return on ad spending (ROAS) of over 1600%, and our forecast in the foreseeable future remains optimistic.

Website Development

We developed their website in the last quarter of 2019, and it served as their main online store. Clients can order and chat with live agents using the website. 

PPC Advertising

Our team at ProcessCorp decided that the best way to increase leads to CapKings is by using targeted ads that can generate traffic to their business. This was our main strategy to increase leads for CapKings.

Search Engine Optimisation

Another strategy that we used for CapKings is search engine optimisation. Through SEO, the number of organic leads increased, generating sales.

Social Media Management

We also decided to create social media profiles for Capkings as another avenue to increase traffic and leads for the business. The social media profiles are also used to engage with possible and current clients about their latest products.

Ferrum’s ROI Soars With Online Marketing and Direct Sales

We started working with Ferrum in the last quarter of 2019 to build their website, work on SEO and build their social profiles. By the start of 2020, we were able to launch the website and continued with our SEO and social media efforts. All paid advertising, however, were not pushed through because of the pandemic.

By the end of the second quarter of 2020, leads have started to come in from organic searches for one custom product. We focused our SEO efforts on this product and one other custom product that by the fourth quarter of the year, we have dominated the SERPs – ranking first and second on relevant product keywords. This resulted to the company receiving numerous leads despite not spending a single dollar on paid advertising.

Seeing continued success in our online marketing efforts, Ferrum has decided to scale their product offering online. We have also started with our pay-per-click campaigns and see the number of leads double, sometimes even triple in number as compared to the previous period. They now also receive direct website sales. Moreover, monthly return on ad spending range from 800% to 1500%.
